Relationships can sometimes be more than we asked for but that doesn’t mean you have to totally give up on it, we tend to let the small things become large and more than what it is. I have been married for 20 plus years now and it haven’t been all peaches and cream but it hasn’t been all bad either everyone has their good and bad days it’s just about how well you manage them. My wife and I don’t like all the same things or agree on everything either, but I do love and respect her and that has a lot to with being able to have a great relationship. You have to respect the person you’re with that means respect how they feel about certain changes, respect their opinions, and also you must have an understanding and trust. Trust is not given it is earned. Having an understanding helps you communicate without the loud tones and helps keep anger at bay. Nothing gets accomplished when anger is part of the equation. Actually, listen and don’t just wait to talk, but in my 50 years of being on this planet i did learn you can’t reason with idiots and assholes.
